Channel Chaser didn't come from a whiteboard session or a VC thesis. It came from years of living the problem — and finally deciding to fix it.

WHERE IT STARTED

The problem we couldn't stop thinking about

Spend enough time in channel sales and you see the same thing happen repeatedly. A channel manager sends out a deal sheet. Partners update their versions. Someone emails a newer one. Someone else is still working off last Tuesday's export. By the time a deal closes — if it closes — nobody's quite sure who had the right numbers, or when.

"It wasn't a people problem. It was an infrastructure problem. And nobody had built the fix."

Channel sales management is a surprisingly underserved category. CRMs handle direct sales beautifully. But the moment you introduce a partner layer — resellers, distributors, agents — the data flow breaks down. Deal sheets get emailed around. Updates get lost. Partner visibility becomes guesswork.

We asked ourselves: what would it look like if this actually worked the way it should? That question became Channel Chaser.

THE BEGINING

Problem discovery & concept

Years of working inside channel sales organisations gave us first hand experience of the deal data problem. We mapped the gap between what existed and what was needed — and confirmed no tool was built specifically for this workflow.

FIRST BUILD

Working prototype / MVP

The first version was rough — built to answer one question: could we actually synchronise deal data between a channel manager and their partners in real time, without either side doing anything manual? The answer was yes. That was enough.

EARLY VALIDATION

Beta users & early partners

We went back to the channel sales community — contacts who'd lived the same frustrations. Their feedback was the most valuable thing we've received: what mattered, what didn't, what was missing. Early partners shaped the product significantly.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Azure backend deployed

We moved from scrappy prototype infrastructure to a proper Azure-based backend — built to scale reliably and handle real channel data volumes. The foundation the rest of the platform sits on.

CRM INTERGRATION

HubSpot integration live

Deal data now flows directly in and out of HubSpot CRM records. The channel manager's world and the partner's world — connected. No manual syncing. No data living in two places at once.

Stripe payments live

The moment you charge real money, everything becomes more real. Stripe payments going live moved Channel Chaser from promising prototype to actual commercial product — with the billing architecture to serve individual users and organisations buying team seats.

Zoho Desk & Zoho Flow integrated

Partner communications and internal ticketing — automated. The behind-the-scenes scaffolding that lets a small team manage a channel programme without dropping balls. Support tickets, partner applications, and sales enquiries all flow through without manual handling.
